Because in Wyoming, your vote "weighs" more. Check out this map, which shows each state re-sized in proportion to the relative influence of the individual voters who live there. The numbers indicate the total delegates to the Electoral College from each state, and how many eligible voters a single delegate from each state represents.

It is possible, under the current system, that someone could be elected president with just 16% of the popular vote!!!!!! I don't know about you, but I find this outrageous.
