I saw holly golightly & the brokeoffs at the earl in atlanta last night. It was a great show! I would describe her/them as edgy/kinda dark folk with a smig of country and smattering of punk. My friend from work, who has been into her for a while now, said that her latest album / last night's show leaned more towards country than most of her earlier stuff. I liked it, regardless of some of the twang. Holly is British and a hoot when she talks between songs and describes the songs. . . witty and sarcastic (and probably a little drunk and/or high. . . not that there is anything wrong with that. Can I get a whoop, whoop?). Check her out! NOW!
